Elder Conlin has entered the building

Here we are after two long years waiting at the airport with friends and family for our Elder to return. Some of us got there very early (1/2 hour isn't that bad! I was anxious) and we waited and wondered if everyone would make it. Ryan picked up sushi on the way because Aaron had asked for it. It was such a nice thought and we had plenty of time to sample some of it before Aaron even got there.
And here he is!!! Looking older, taller and bigger than when he left. Amazing things happen to young men in two years. What a fun experience to welcome him home.

And here he is home again, released, and still not comfortable without his "missionary uniform" on. His tie didn't come off for about another hour until after the Schweikarts came over to visit and Kris walked over and just took it off him. It was very funny!
The poor guy hardly knew what happened to him for the week. He spoke in Church on Sunday and was on a plane to go back to Weber State College in Ogden Utah. One short week from mission to class. What a whirl wind week (say that 3 times fast, I dare ya).
We love him tons, are glad he is home safe and sound, and that he is happy and doing well at school.

And One More Time!

Dan was enjoying the evening and caught the sunset being spectacular one more time. We love watching the always changing view and would love to share it with all of you.

Love you all

Never Gets Old

Ashley and I had the opportunity of snapping away at the sunset again last night. People ask if we ever get tired of the view and we always tell em "Never have, never will". We love the view and wanted to share.
Love you all. Ma and Nic

Birthday Bash

We had so much fun for my birthday this year. An evening at PF Changs one of my favorite meals. We had Alea and Zach and baby Camden, Loya and Sara, Ryan, Ashley, Dan and I enjoying tons of food and conversation at the dinner table. We wish many more of you could join us.
Love you all,
Nic and Ma

The blessing day has arrived

Here we have the proud parents, Alea and Zach, on this fun blessing day.

How beautiful this little baby Camden is and what an amazing blessing she is to all of us.
Here is Aunt Ashley enjoying holding the baby for a few minutes while waiting for dinner to be ready.
And here are all of our family and Zach's family celebrating this special day. We missed everyone who couldn't be there with us and hope to see you all soon.
We very much enjoyed spending the day together and celebrating this lovely addition to both our families.
Love you all,
Ma and Nic

Still working on remodling

I know I have said it before, but I will say it again. The Northwest is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and here is a picture I would like to share with all of you. We have added a few pieces of patio furniture so that we can enjoy the outdoors more than ever. A little table and chairs:
And a full size table for 6 so we can start doing the summer barbeque thing on the deck that I love so much. We wish you all could be here to share the view and the food with us.

We also have a couple of lounges for lounging in the sun. We have enjoyed them this week and are looking forward to a lovely summer lazing about.
Love you all,
Ma and Nic

Happy Easter

Here we are getting together for a little family dinner. We had a tasty ham dinner with all the trimmings and strawberry shortcake for dessert. (yum!) We took turns passing Camden around the dinner table so everyone could have a chance to eat. Yeah right---we just kept passing her around because she was being so sweet and we wanted to cuddle on her.
Here is a photo of the cute little Franklin Family. Alea and Zach don't look like proud parents or anything do they?

Grandpa and Grandma had a little time to enjoy sweet little Camden before they left to enjoy the evening with the Franklins. It is so hard to share!
We love you all and can't wait to get together soon.
